lesson.2.
in da past half year, ive become to learn that real friendship is not measured by the amount of time spent together but by da effort and that is put into friendship. its those friendship that go beyond the meaningless gossips of *any new boys/gurlz in ur life?* to talk about ur ambitions and ur goals. its the friends who support u every step of the way, give u an outsider's perspective, and that share common interests with u that really makes da friendship worthwhile. its the friends who, despite how long u havent seen each other, everything is da same. there isnt an awkward silence while one tries to think of sumthing to talk abt when all the gossip is done. the friends who arent afraid to b brutally honest with u even though they kno it may offend u, they are merely looking out for your best interests and whats best for u. the friends who understand u dun need to spend every free moment with them for them to b a good friend. the friends who u can still b silly with even though u may not seen them in long time.
its not based on da number of times uve hung out with them, its not based on the number of things they know about u, its based on the ones you go beyond that to show u that they geniunely care for u. the ones who show u through action or words. the ones who treat u like family. the ones who treat u like their own brothers & sisters because u mean that much to them. those are the friendship worth having.
and to those friends...i cannot thank u enough for dat. despite wat has happened in da past few months, i cannot thank u enough for da love n care u hav shown me.
-incomplete in ourselves, we desire whatever we think is beckoning to complete us. God alone needs nothing outside himself, because He himself is the highest and the only lasting good. so all objects we desire short of God are as finite and incomplete as we ourselves are and therefore, disappointing if we make them the objects of ultimate desire-
